Elevating care for all patients living with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome
What is Ramsay Hunt Syndrome?
Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (RHS) is one of the leading causes of facial paralysis. Along with sudden onset (within 24-72 hours) facial paralysis, RHS often presents with severe ear pain, dizziness, a blistering rash of the ear, and hearing loss. While often confused with Bell’s palsy, RHS is typically more severe at onset and patients are less likely to make a complete recovery.

The Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Foundation (RHSF) was founded in 2024 to elevate the care and improve the lives of all patients living with RHS.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Foundation is to elevate care for all patients living with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (RHS) through comprehensive support, education and advocacy. We are dedicated to advancing research, improving early diagnosis and providing resources to enhance the quality of life for individuals affected by this rare neurological disorder. Our goal is to foster a community of hope and empowerment, ensuring that every patient and family receives the care, information and compassion they deserve on their journey toward recovery.
